How to Connect Your Computer to Your TV

Its really painful when you have a big 52 inch HD, LED TV and you would have to watch a movie like Batman, Avenges etc. on your small laptop screen. The same goes for showing off our latest digital photos to friends. We all huddle around the 15-inch computer display while the TV screen goes unused. There are many reasons why we want to connect our computers to our televisions, especially now that HD TVs are so popular.

How To Connect Computer To TV

  1. You first need to plug the 15-pin VGA cable into the red VGA IN port on the adapter and then into the 15-pin VGA output on your computer. On a desktop computer, your monitor is probably already connected to this port. If so, just unplug your monitor from the computer to make room for the converter.
  1. If using an external monitor, plug it into the blue VGA OUT port on the adapter
  1. Take the USB power cable and plug it into the round power plug on the PC to TV converter. Then plug the rectangular end into any available USB port on your computer
  1. Then you need to connect either the yellow RCA cable or the S-video port from the appropriate port on the converter to the same type of port on the TV. Note: you will only use one of these two cables, you should not use both.
  1. If you purchased an audio cable to go with the converter, You'll plug the 3.5mm end into the speaker out or headphone jack on your computer. Then plug the red and white RCA plugs into the red and white jacks that are associated with the video port you're using.
  1. Your PC to TV converter should now be all hooked up properly. Turn on your computer and TV(if they're not already on), set the TV to the proper input, and see if your windows desktop shows up on your TV.

This way we can enjoy High Quality movies on your TV.
