Internet emits 830m tonnes of CO2/year

Everyone uses Internet but does anyone have any idea about the Carbon footprint they leave.Well......As a matter of fact even I do not know what footprint I leave.Here is a little about the Carbon footprint made in a year.

Internet and other components of information communication and technology (ICT) industry annually produces over 830 million tonnes of
carbon dioxide (CO2),the main greenhouse gas,and is expected to
double by 2020,a new study has found.
Researchers belonging to various organizations are saying that services such as Internet,video,voice and other cloud activities are producing about 2% of the total emission of that dangerous greenhouse gas called as carbon-di-oxide.
