In this post I would giving facts about the eyes according different categories. With any adieu get go on with the post.

  • The number of colors that the human eye can see is 7 million.
  • Red and Yellow are most irritating colors for the human eye.
  • Every 1 in 12 men in the world are affected with color blindness.
  • The no. of odors the human nose can sniff is about 1 trillion.
  • The human eye just takes a mere 13 milli seconds to process an image.
  • If you think that the DSLR camera with 75 mega pixels has the highest pixel density, then you are no where my friend because the human eye is 576 mega pixels camera!
  • The human eye can view 200 degrees horizontally and 135 degrees vertically. But this figure decreases with age.
  • The measurement of the human eyes perception of light at 390-750 nano meters.

  • The distance of the horizon of a six feet tall person is about 3 miles or 5 kms.
  • The Andromeda Galaxy is the farthest point visible to the naked eye which is about 2.6 million light years away from Earth.
  • The distance a person could see the faintest glimmer of a candle flame is about 30 miles.
  • A newborn baby see the entire world upside down until its brain learns to interpret the image properly.
  • A newborn baby takes about 3 months to recognize familiar faces.
  • About 39 million people in the world are completely blind.
  • Night Blindness occurs in people who are deficient in vitamin A.
  • 246 million people in the world have low vision or people who wear glasses.
  • If you think that we have the best vision in the world then I am sorry guys. Mantis Shrimps have 12 photo receptors while we humans have just 3.
