The Pebble Watch is a smartwatch developed by Pebble Technology and released in 2013 that was funded by raising money via the crowd funding platform Kickstarter. It's infinitely customizable, with beautiful downloadable watchfaces and useful internet-connected apps. Pebble connects to iPhone and Android smartphones using Bluetooth, alerting you with a silent vibration to incoming calls, emails and messages.

Apps designed for the Pebble

1.Cyclists can use Pebble as a bike computer, accessing the GPS on your smartphone to display speed, distance and pace data.

2.Use the music control app to play, pause or skip tracks on your phone with the touch of a button. Don't worry about the rain, Pebble is water-resistant!

3.Runners get a similar set of data displayed on their wrist.

4.If you're a golfer, feel free to bring Pebble onto the course.

How Does It Work?

Answer: Pebble connects by Bluetooth to your iPhone or Android device. Setting up Pebble is as easy as downloading the Pebble app onto your phone. All software updates are wirelessly transmitted to your Pebble.

Compatibility

The Pebble runs on the following platforms:-

IPhone 3GS, 4, 4S running iOS 5 or any iPod Touch with iOS 5.

Android devices running OS 2.3 and up. Works great with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)!

Note 1 :Unfortunately Pebble does not work with Blackberry, Windows Phone 7, or Palm phones at this time.
